 7 interesting fact you must know about Indian constitution



 In simple term Indian constitution is a Supreme law of land. it is a rule book for Indian citizens. after the constituent assembly was formed in 1946 A long wait and  with a lot of discussion, our Warriors of freedom come with the final constitution draft. Constitution was ratified on 26 November 1949. but constitution was legally enforced on the evening of Republic day in January 1950.

here some interesting facts about our Indian constitution You must know about it.

1.the original book of constitution was handwritten by Prem Bihari Narayan Raizada And the pages was decorated by artist from Shantiniketan.



2.There are 3 original  and these copies have been kept in the these copies have been kept in Central Library of Indian parliament. the original copy of constitution is 22 inches long and 16 inch wide.



3. after the drafting of constitution on 24th January 1950 ,284 members of constituent assembly signed the handwritten constitution, including 15 woman.



4. the Indian constitution is world longest constitution as of now our constitution has undergone off 104 amendments.



5. the Indian constitution was originally written in Hindi and English. the English version of constitution has 117, 369 words, which contains 444 articles 22 parts 12 schedules and 115 amendments.

6. the constitution took 2 years 11 months and 18 days to come with the final draft.



7. constitution of India is also called as a Bag of Borrowings.Because it has borrowed provisions from various country‘s Constitution like Australian constitution, Canadian constitution, Irish constitution, us constitution British constitution etc.

Sources of Indian constitution  Indian Constitution was also called ‘Bags of borrowing’ because it borrowed provisions form different Country’s constitution. Today we read about the sources of Indian constitution and of different sources.Our Indian Constitution is world’s lengthiest constitution.
